Cure Fashion Show 2011

On Sunday 9th October, Cure's 4th fashion show took place at the Guild Hall in Lichfield. A sell out audience of 180 guests watched 20 male and female models strutt their stuff in Cure's latest collections, displaying amazing brands from Fred Perry to Vivienne Westwood.
The fantastic duo The Witty Vandals perfomed on the night, and there were gorgeous stalls from Kandi Girl Cupcakes, Wild Fern Hearts, Vintage Fascinations and Sally's Jewellery.
Along with delicious canapes by Coco Meli, the brands stocked at Cure were kind enough to donate raffle prizes and all guests received incredible goodie bags.
Everyone will agree that the night was a huge success, definitely our biggest and best show to date. The Cure team put a lot of hard work into the show but still had a great time raising money for a St Giles Hospice, a local charity.

Area 142 Showroom

Last week we went to the Area 142 showroom in Shoreditch to buy next summers collections by Pyrus, Designers Remix and Bolongaro Trevor.
We love the simplicity of the white layout with added quirky details such as the bright yellow rails, lighting and antique furniture.. and of course Deborah (the owners) beautiful whippet Robert.

There was also a glass exhibition underneath the Pyrus store on Newburgh Street. The concept-store features a gallery in the basement called The Basement Gallery which is steadily gaining a following with fashion and art insiders alike, turning Pyrus into a destination store.

The AW11 Designers Remix collection will soon be available to buy online.

During our weeks in London buying next seasons stock we see so many inspiring sights we wanted to start sharing them with you and give you a little insight into what goes on behind the scenes at Cure.

To start with here are a few pics of the flagship Nicole Farhi store on Conduit Street...

The store has just been completed after a £1million refit. All of the furniture is hand-picked by Nicole herself and is all for sale (the bench in the photo above sells for £80,000!).
We love the futuristic minimalist whites mixed with the antique style wood, the quirky look is reflected in all of Nicole Farhi's designs.

Pure London Show

A few of the Cure team members got up bright and early Sunday morning and travelled down to London's Olympia to attend the UK's biggest fashion buying event, Pure.
With over 1000 stalls at the show we had a lot to get through. We concentrated our day on finding gorgeous accessory brands and attending seminars, but we did have a little sighting of Katie Price promoting her new brand.
The show has got us very excited for all of the fabulous new shoes, jewellery, bags, belts and scarves we have found to possibly stock at Cure in Spring and Summer 2012 (yes, despite this summer having barely started, we are already buying for next year!). We know you're going to love everything we've seen!

Grab a White tee/vest, a black pen add some of your imagination and enter our competition.

Your design can be a personal illustration, a sketch or a quick doodle as long as it's on a white t-shirt using a black pen. The parameters don't end there... you can add fabric, beads, sequins even nuts and bolts. The more unique the better.

The closing date for bringing your entries to our store for judging is the 15th September.

The winning entries (one male, one female) will be shown at our fashion show on the 30th September, at Apres, Lichfield. They will then be auctioned off on the night with the proceeds going to St Giles Hospice, Lichfield. Each winner will also receive a £50 gift voucher for Cure.
We look forward to seeing what you can do with a white t-shirt, black pen.
